National Freedom Front (NFF) Leader and former MP Wimal Weerawansa has announced that he will take part in a continuous satyagraha campaign against Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, together with a group of parents. The group is demanding the PM who also holds Education Minister post to resign, and halt the education reforms.

Weerawansa said in a Facebook post that the protest is being organised against the Prime Minister over the government’s education reforms, in collaboration with the group Adults for Children Movement.

The satyagraha campaign is scheduled to begin tomorrow (12) in front of the Ministry of Education premises in Battaramulla.
