Business magnate Dudley Sirisena, head of the Araliya rice enterprise, has cleared customs and taken delivery of a Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 Series 2 Extended Wheelbase (EWB), one of the most expensive and ultra-luxury vehicles currently in Sri Lanka.
The Phantom 8 Series 2 EWB is a special edition model produced by Rolls-Royce to mark the company’s 100th anniversary. Sirisena stated that only around 25 such units exist worldwide.
Posting on Facebook, he recalled the origins of his business, noting that he began operations with a lorry bearing the number 42-Sri-1762, purchased using proceeds from pawning his wife’s jewellery.
