PM Departs for World Economic Forum in Switzerland

Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya departed Sri Lanka on the morning of 19 January to attend the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), scheduled to take place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from 19 to 23 January 2026.

This year’s Forum will convene under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue” and is expected to draw over 3,000 global participants, including heads of state and government, senior policymakers, chief executives of multinational corporations, and leading figures from the technology and innovation sectors.

During her visit, the Prime Minister is expected to engage in a series of high-level bilateral discussions with international leaders, heads of global institutions, and other influential delegates.
