Toronto police have arrested a Sri Lankan social media influencer, charging him with four counts of criminal harassment following a series of alleged incidents involving the non-consensual filming of strangers in public spaces.

Police identified the suspect as Mohamed Askar Mohamed-Razik, 45, who was taken into custody on 10 December 2025. He later appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice on 4 February 2026.

In a statement, the Toronto Police Service detailed four separate incidents allegedly linked to the accused.

On 8 June 2025, a woman attending an event near Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street reported that a man filmed her without consent. When she asked him to stop, he allegedly became confrontational, continued to harass her, and refused to leave despite instructions from security. The suspect left the area before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.

A second incident is alleged to have occurred on 21 August 2025 at around 2.45 p.m., when the accused reportedly approached a TTC employee at Union Station, filmed them without consent, and made harassing remarks about their ethnicity.

Police say a third incident took place on 27 September 2025 at approximately 3 p.m. at David Pecaut Square, where the accused allegedly approached a person standing in a queue, continued filming despite repeated requests to stop, and again became confrontational.

In a fourth case, dated 26 May 2025, the accused is alleged to have filmed a female police officer near Yonge Street and Shuter Street while making comments about her appearance.

Toronto police have released an image of the suspect and believe there may be additional victims. Members of the public with information are urged to contact the Toronto Police Service or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
