Internationally respected Buddhist monk Ajahn Brahmali will deliver a special Dhamma Talk on ‘The Right View (Sammā Diṭṭhi)’ on Friday, 1 May 2026 (Poya Day), at the Main Hall of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The programme will be held from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., with more than 1,000 participants expected to observe sil and engage in a full day of Dhamma discussions focused on ‘Right View’, the foundation of the Noble Eightfold Path.

Organisers state that the teachings will explore core Buddhist principles including the nature of suffering (dukkha), the law of kamma, and the importance of ethical and wise conduct in daily life. The sessions aim to provide clarity and practical guidance on applying early Buddhist teachings in contemporary life.

Ajahn Brahmali, a Norwegian-born monk ordained in Australia, has more than three decades of monastic experience and is widely recognised for his scholarship in early Buddhist texts. The programme will be conducted in English, with summaries provided in Sinhala.

Participation is by prior online registration only. Organisers encourage early registration due to limited seating capacity.
