Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (17).

The Commission stated that Rajapaksa had been summoned to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged allocation of houses by the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to individuals who were not eligible to receive them.

Accordingly, he was notified to appear before the Commission to record a statement regarding the matter.
