Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Kamal Amarasinghe has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Police stated that the arrest was made in connection with allegations of assisting in the alteration of a chassis number of a cab and facilitating a fraudulent vehicle registration.

The Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the CID carried out the arrest, and Amarasinghe is scheduled to be produced before court today (28).
