A teacher accused of leaking Grade 6 and 7 term test questions from State schools in the North-Central Province via social media has been suspended with immediate effect, the North-Central Province Education Ministry Secretary said.
Meanwhile, entire Grade 11 term test in the province was suspended after many question papers were leaked on social media.
The Sinhala Literature exam was abruptly halted on 6 January after investigations revealed that several question papers had been shared by tuition masters in WhatsApp groups. In response to this breach, education authorities decided to suspend the entire term test.
