A German diplomat was found dead in the diplomatic compound on Monday, police said.
German Embassy Second Secretary Thomas Jürgen Bielefeld (58) dies.
Police said the diplomat was found bleeding from the eyes, nose and mouth at his home in the Karakoram Mountains inside the High Security Area.
Police said the diplomat did not come to the office on Monday and did not respond to phone calls from the embassy.
In response, the embassy sent an employee to the ambassador’s home and received no response from inside the home.
Later, when the embassy officials came to the house and broke the locks and entered the apartment without informing the police, he was found dead.
The embassy then informed the police and officials of the General Secretary Police Station who reached the apartment and took the body to the hospital.
The police were told that the diplomat was a heart patient. It is unclear when the ambassador died. However, he last used his Whatsapp at 7:44 pm on Saturday, police said.
