13 Injured as Bus Plunges Off Road in Passara

A private passenger bus traveling from Colombo to Passara veered off the road near the 10th mile post area in Passara earlier today, injuring 13 passengers.

The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m., reportedly due to the driver falling asleep at the wheel. The bus slid off the road, with its front section plunging down a precipice before coming to a halt.

The injured passengers were swiftly admitted to the Passara Hospital for treatment.
