India trains Kyrgyz armed forces for UN peacekeeping forces

The Center for United Nations Peacekeeping in New Delhi will conduct online training for Kyrgyz armed forces on January 15 and 16. Held a capsule.

The distribution was taken up by the Additional Director General of Public Information, Indian Army

The post noted that the two-day program is designed to provide a broad overview of UN peacekeeping.

After the independence of Kyrgyzstan on 31 August 1991, India was among the first countries to establish diplomatic relations on 18 March 1992. According to MEA, India’s resident mission appeared on May 23, 1994. India and Kyrgyzstan marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022. Political relations between India and Kyrgyzstan, bound by local and civilizational ties, have traditionally been warm and friendly.

The Kyrgyz Republic has given India full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and has also supported India’s request for permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council. In the first instance, India-Kyrgyz relations have expanded into several areas of bilateral relations, including defense, security, trade and investment. Both countries also have common concerns about the threat of terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
