A head-on collision involving two private buses on the Matara-Tangalle main road at Talalla, Matara, has left more than 35 people injured and hospitalised.

The accident occurred between a bus traveling from Embilipitiya to Matara and another heading from Matara to Tangalle.

The injured were initially admitted to Gandara Hospital, with six individuals later transferred to Matara Hospital for further treatment.
