Police Open Fire on Car in Grandpass

Police opened fire on a car in the Grandpass area last night after its occupants ignored multiple stop orders.

According to the police, officers from the Colombo North Crimes Division pursued the vehicle when it failed to comply with a stop-and-search request.

One person sustained minor injuries during the incident. Upon searching the car, police uncovered illegal alcohol.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident.
