Israel announced that Hamas is expected to release three Israeli hostages and five Thais on Thursday. The Israeli captives include two women – Arbel Yehud, 29, and Agam Berger, 20 – and Gadi Moses, 80. Their release marks the third exchange under the ceasefire agreement, and also follows the release of 110 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.

The Thai hostages, whose names have not been released, are believed to be agricultural workers who were kidnapped while in Israel. Thailand has confirmed that six of its citizens remain in Gaza, and two Thais are reported to have died.

The release follows a series of exchanges since the ceasefire began on January 19. Previously, seven Israeli women and 290 Palestinian prisoners were released. The fourth exchange, involving three men, is scheduled for Saturday. More than 1,200 Israelis have been taken hostage in Hamas cross-border attacks since October 7, and more than 47,000 people in Gaza have been killed in the ongoing conflict.
