Sri Lanka’s premier HR event, SLASSCOM People’s Summit, is set to be held on 7th February 2025 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, bringing together HR professionals, industry leaders and C-suite executives for a day filled with transformative discussions, expert insights and interactive breakout sessions.

Organized by the Sri Lanka Software and Services Companies Association (SLASSCOM), this year’s theme, “Engage, Empower, Elevate, The New Playbook”, emphasizes the need for fresh approaches to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape shaped by technological advancements, changing workforce dynamics and global challenges, and provides cutting-edge insights from industry leaders on staying ahead of evolving HR trends and challenges.

Renowned speakers and industry pioneers are set to take to the stage to share their insights at the conference. Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene will deliver a keynote address on the topic of “Leadership in Transformation,” which will highlight the role of transformational leadership in building resilient and high-performing teams.

Diane Gomez, former president of Hella Clothing, will discuss the “People-Centered Revolution,” highlighting the importance of trust, inclusion, and participation in creating future-ready organizations.

Satyajit M, CEO of Hexaware Technologies, will explore the impact of technological advancements and the expectations of the evolving workforce, urging organizations to embrace change for innovation and productivity.

IFS Chief Customer Officer Kathy Hall will focus on empowering employees to drive change and adopt agile practices.

ICF Colombo Chapter Vice President Aseem Sahir will highlight how active listening builds trust and improves problem solving in his “Listening to Understanding” session.

Leadership and Business Coach Ramindu Randeni will address the challenges of global expansion with an emphasis on cultural intelligence and innovative strategies.

A key highlight of the event will be the panel discussion “Bridging Strategy and Reality – A Roadmap for the Future”. This session will delve into aligning vision with execution through clear communication of strategy and linking it to operational goals. The importance of establishing accountability and ownership, maintaining flexibility and agility, and building a culture of execution will be emphasized. This engaging discussion, featuring Commercial Bank CEO Sumudu Gunawardena, Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer Dilrukshi Kurukulasuriya, and Hemas Holdings PLC Acting CEO and Chief Human Resources Officer Ravi Jayasekara, will provide valuable insights into translating leadership vision into tangible results.
