President AKD Departs for UAE to Attend World Government Summit

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has left the island this morning (10) for an official three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Dissanayake will be in the UAE from 10 to 13 February at the invitation of UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to participate in the ‘World Government Summit 2025’.

He is accompanied by Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, Minister of Energy Kumara Jayakody, and 13 other senior government officials.

During the visit, President Dissanayake will address the summit in Dubai and hold bilateral discussions with President Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on areas of mutual interest.
