Shocking Twist: True Identity of Ganemulla Sanjeewa’s Killer Revealed

In a shocking revelation, Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala today (20) disclosed the true identity of the hitman who killed underworld figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa.

The suspect, arrested yesterday (19), has been identified as Samindu Dilshan Piyumanga Kandanaarachchi from Maharagama, the minister confirmed.

Making a statement in Parliament regarding the incident, Wijepala also announced that the driver of the van used by the gunman to flee towards Puttalam after the shooting had been arrested.

The Police just after the arrest of the suspect said yesterday (19) that the name of the suspect was Mohamed Azman Sherifdeen.

The gunman, who shot and killed notorious drug trafficker and gang leader Sanjeewa Kumara Samararathne, also known as Ganemulla Sanjeewa, inside the Hulftsdorp Court Complex, was apprehended on Wednesday evening (19) in Palaviya, Puttalam, by the Police Special Task Force (STF) while fleeing in a van.

Ganemulla Sanjeewa was fatally shot yesterday morning (19) inside Court No. 05 of the Aluthkade Courts Complex.
