The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has submitted a confidential report to the court on the murder of organized criminal ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa.’

The report was handed over at the official chambers of Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali, prompting the court to issue several directives to the police.

As part of the ongoing probe, investigators will record statements from a group of inmates currently detained at Boossa Prison.

The shocking incident occurred on the morning of 19 February, when ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa’ was gunned down inside the dock of Courtroom No. 05 at the Aluthkade Courts Complex during a hearing.

The CCD continues its investigations, with 10 suspects currently in custody in connection with the killing.
