Three Cops Arrested for Soliciting Bribe from Foreign Tourist

Three police officers attached to the Kollupitiya Police Station have been arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe from an Austrian female tourist, threatening legal action over foreign cigarettes in her possession.

Police stated that a Sergeant and two Constables were apprehended for allegedly demanding Rs. 50,000 from the tourist.
