Disciplinary action has been taken against a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus conductor who harassed a group of schoolchildren in Nuwara Eliya by refusing to allow them to travel using their season tickets, Minister of Transport Bimal Ratnayake informed Parliament today.

The minister stated that the conductor has been suspended from all duties while a disciplinary inquiry is underway. He further emphasised that the children were denied entry despite clear directives that passengers presenting valid season tickets must be allowed to board.
