Rapper “Shan Putha” Arrested with Stolen Firearm in Meegoda

Homagama Headquarters Police arrested rapper “Shan Putha” today (14) in the Araliya Uyana area of Meegoda, seizing a 9mm firearm in his possession.

Also taken into custody were a police constable from the Mannar Police Division, accused of supplying the firearm, and an individual believed to be the rapper’s manager.

The constable allegedly stole the weapon while serving at the Matara–Kotawila Police Station before handing it over to the rapper. The arrest was made following intelligence gathered by the Mannar Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.

The suspects are to be presented in court.
