First Resignation of 10th Parliament: SLMC MP M.S. Naleem Steps Down

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) National List MP M.S. Naleem has resigned from Parliament to contest the upcoming Eravur Urban Council election, marking the first resignation of the 10th Parliament of Sri Lanka.

He announced this during today’s parliamentary sittings.

Naleem, a former Chairman of the Eravur Urban Council, was appointed as the SLMC’s National List MP after the party secured one national list seat in the last general election.
