The Court of Appeal has rejected the writ petition filed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon, which sought an interim injunction to prevent his arrest. The petition was dismissed without a hearing.

The court also ordered the police to arrest the suspended IGP without delay and to take action against those who aided the suspect in evading arrest.
