Imtiaz Bakeer Markar Resigns as SJB Chairman Amid Internal Disputes

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Chairman Imtiaz Bakeer Markar has resigned from all positions he held in the party.

His resignation letter, written in four sentences, has been handed over to the Opposition Leader’s secretary, Asian Mirror learns.

Markar was appointed SJB chairman six months ago. It is reported that internal disputes led to his decision to step down.
