A clash has occurred when former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his wife 02 visited a nightclub on Park Street, Colombo 02.

Eight people had come with them, one of whom did not have the required wristband to enter the club, which led to the conflict. When a security officer asked about the wristband, an argument broke out, and the eight people who had come attacked the security officer.

By then, Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his wife had left the scene. The owner of the club has filed a complaint with the police regarding the incident, and the police have also conducted an on-site investigation. The security guard who was assaulted has been admitted to the hospital and is receiving treatment.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been named as an accused in a case currently pending in court regarding money laundering and is free on bail.
