New Announcement on Credit and Debit Card Payments on Expressways

In a move to modernise toll collection and enhance commuter convenience, credit and debit card payments are now accepted at the Kadawatha and Kottawa exits on the expressway network, from today (11 March).

Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake announced the development on X (formerly Twitter), stating that starting from 1 May, all expressway exit points will be equipped with an e-payment model powered by Hatton National Bank (HNB).
