Over 2,000 Complaints Filed Ahead of 2025 LG Election

The number of complaints submitted to the National Election Commission regarding the upcoming Local Government (LG) Election has surpassed 2,000, according to official data.

The Commission stated that a total of 2,011 complaints have been received at both the National Centre for Election Complaints and the District Centre for Election Complaints since 20 March 2025.

On 20 April alone, 130 incidents involving violations of election laws and seven other election-related complaints were recorded.

The 2025 Local Government Election is scheduled to take place on 6 May.
