One Dead, One Injured in Panadura Shooting

One Dead, One Injured in Panadura Shooting

A man was killed and another injured in a shooting incident reported in Panadura this morning, police said.

Two unidentified men who arrived on a motorbike opened fire, injuring both individuals. They were admitted to the Panadura Hospital, where one of the victims, a 35-year-old resident of Malamulla West, succumbed to his injuries. The injured individual, a 20-year-old from the same area, remains under treatment.

Police investigations revealed that a T-56 type firearm had been used in the attack. Further investigations are being carried out by the Panadura Police.
