A political debate on the Wadapitiya programme, aired on Derana TV last night, erupted into a fiery showdown as verbal blows were traded between MPs Ajith P. Perera and Chandima Weerakkody.

The tension reached a boiling point when Ajith P. Perera hurled a stinging insult, branding Chandima Weerakkody a “kabba” — a slang term often used to imply cowardice or weakness.

Unfazed, Chandima fired back without hesitation: “The one who said ‘kabba’ is the real ‘kabba’.”
