A debate over agreements signed with India sparked heated exchanges during last night’s broadcast of the Wadapitiya political talk show on Derana TV.

Government-aligned MPs maintained that they were aware of the contents of the agreements, insisting that such documents would be disclosed at a time determined by the government as pledged by the Foreign Affairs Minister— not at the opposition’s convenience.

Opposition MPs strongly contested this stance, calling for the immediate public disclosure of agreements that, according to them, have so far remained hidden from citizens.
