The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) held its Labour Day rally yesterday (1 May) at the Talawakelle – Lindula Urban Council Ground.

Following the conclusion of the event, various types of waste left behind by supporters were partially cleared by municipal workers. However, when our reporter visited the ground this morning (2 May), it was evident that the cleanup had not been carried out properly.

Recent rainfall has further worsened the situation, turning parts of the Urban Council ground into muddy patches.
