All SriLankan Flights to Lahore, Karachi Suspended

SriLankan Airlines has suspended all flights between Colombo, Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan, citing safety concerns following a series of explosions near Lahore’s Walton Airport.

The suspension comes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. On Wednesday, India launched “Operation Sindoor,” conducting missile and drone strikes on multiple sites in Pakistan, targeting what it described as terrorist infrastructure. The strikes were in retaliation for a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir on April 22, which killed 26 people, mostly Hindu tourists. Pakistan has denied involvement in the Kashmir attack and vowed to respond to India’s military actions.
