Lanka Hospitals initiated to provide affordable cardiac care to government employees, retired government employees and Agrahara Insurance members. The program will alleviate the financial burden of heart surgery and angiograms amid challenging economic times so that those who serve and have served the nation can access high-quality heart care.

Under this special offer, a heart surgery normally costs Rs 1,400,000, which has now been reduced to Rs 1,100,000, giving a saving of Rs 300,000. Angiograms are available for just Rs 50,000, and for heart surgery patients at Lanka Hospitals, hospital charges for angiograms are completely waived, bringing the cost down to Rs 20,000. Additional benefits under this program are available only to Agrahara members.

Ms. Deepti Lokuarachchi, Group CEO, Lanka Hospitals Group pointed out the importance of this initiative: “Our latest cardiac surgery and angiogram offering underlines our commitment to ease the financial pressure of public sector employees and pensioners. We are committed to ensuring that essential medical services, such as advanced cardiac care, are accessible without compromising on affordability and quality. Through this initiative, we continue to honor the invaluable contribution of Sri Lanka’s government workforce by combining compassionate care and cutting-edge medical expertise.

The initiative comes in the backdrop of an agreement with the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF), which administers the Aghara insurance scheme, to further enhance health benefits for eligible patients.
