The event, held under the patronage of Ambassador E. A. S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, saw participation from Sri Lankans residing in Thailand and local Thai Buddhists.

Religious activities were led by Prathep Ñāņakavi, Deputy Chief Incumbent of Watpalamkao; Walmoruwe Piyaratana, Head of the Department of Buddhism at Mahachulalankara Rajavidyalaya University; and members of the Bhikkhu Sangha.
