Sri Lankan Embassy in Thailand Hosts Vesak Celebrations in Bangkok

A series of Buddhist programmes were held at Watpalamkao Temple in Bangkok in celebration of the Vesak festival, organised by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Thailand. The event, held under the patronage of Ambassador E. A. S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, saw participation from Sri Lankans residing in Thailand and local Thai Buddhists.

Religious activities were led by Prathep Ñāņakavi, Deputy Chief Incumbent of Watpalamkao; Walmoruwe Piyaratana, Head of the Department of Buddhism at Mahachulalankara Rajavidyalaya University; and members of the Bhikkhu Sangha. The programme included alms giving, meditation, and other acts of charity.
