Ranjith Udaya Kumara, Chairman of the Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha representing the National People’s Power (NPP), has resigned from his post.

Following his resignation, the Returning Officer of the Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha, Suranga Ambagahathenna, has appointed Gamaethige Ariyadasa as the new Chairman to fill the vacancy.

This appointment has been officially announced through a special gazette notification.
