The National Library and Documentation Services Board has announced the extension of the manuscript submission deadline for the ongoing book publication assistant project until December 31.

This extension comes in response to numerous requests from writers. The project, which is being implemented in a new format, aims to support a wide range of literary works, including academic research, novels, short stories, poetry, youth literature, and children’s works. Additionally, the level of support provided has been increased.

The National Library and Documentation Services Board revealed that the publication assistance will include Rs. 150,000 for the best academic and research works, Rs. 100,000 for novels, Rs. 100,000 for short stories, and Rs. 75,000 for poetry, youth literature, and children’s works. All selected works are expected to be released during Literature Month 2025.
