PickMe will expand its technology to facilitate the delivery of spirits and soft liquor, integrating another key element of the economy into its platform. The company, which is set to launch this service during the holiday season, has a robust technology solution that ensures secure and efficient merchant-to-consumer transactions. The solution is supported by established standard operating procedures that ensure consistency and accountability throughout the delivery process.

“As a technology provider, we will not be involved in the transactional side of buying and selling spirits. Our third-party vendors are responsible for complying with all legal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol at physical points of sale, and this expansion will provide greater convenience to their customers.

PickMe has streamlined the in-app experience for users to browse and order their desired alcoholic beverages from registered stores. The user-friendly interface ensures that the ordering process is simple while supporting the necessary legal compliance between the seller and the customer.

The app is designed to make it easy for customers to navigate and select their favorite spirits. After making a selection, to confirm the buyer’s eligibility for a PickMe delivery, they will be asked to enter essential information including delivery address, contact details and relevant age verification. “Before adding products to their cart, customers must agree to the app’s terms and fees, including verifying that they are over 21 years of age. Customer handling charges if any will be acknowledged and their National Identification Number (NIC) will be entered in the designated section. Items can be added to the cart only after meeting these requirements. Although age verification is normally the responsibility of our trading partners, we perform this process to support compliance with legal regulations,” said the CFO.

Once customers are ready to finalize their order, they can select the card payment option. After completing these steps, the order has been successfully placed and customers can expect prompt delivery of their selected products via designated independent third-party drivers registered on the PickMe platform.

PickMe’s mobile app offers unparalleled convenience to users with a host of innovative features, prioritizing security and reliability. Utilizing advanced AI and GPS technology, the app provides real-time location updates and detailed profiles of customers and third-party driver/rider profiles. The app’s transparent pricing model increases user confidence by eliminating concerns about excessive fees often associated with traditional transportation options.

“This is not new to the digital stratosphere as many countries around the world have facilitated the delivery of alcohol through app-enabled devices. This service is operational in both South Asia, India and Nepal and we expect this service to be of great convenience to our app users once launched. CFO says.
