Mervyn Silva, Two Others Released on Bail in Kiribathgoda Land Fraud Case

The Gampaha High Court has ordered the release of former minister Mervyn Silva and two others on bail in connection with an alleged fraudulent sale of a state-owned land in the Kiribathgoda town area.

High Court Judge W.K.D. Wijekoon granted bail with a surety of Rs 25 million and a cash bail of Rs 200,000 each.

The other two suspects granted bail are Jayanta Cabraal and Naveen Weerakon. The three had been held in remand custody prior to the court ruling.
