The National Transport Commission (NTC) has announced that the recent incident in which a student fell from the footboard of a ‘Sisu Sariya’ school bus was caused by the reckless and negligent conduct of both the driver and the conductor.

The incident occurred on 3 July, including video footage of the event.

In an official statement, the NTC said that, based on initial findings, the Road Passenger Transport Authority of the North Western Province has taken steps to temporarily suspend both the driver and conductor involved in the incident.
