Former Minister S.M. Chandrasena Arrested by Bribery Commission

Former Minister S.M. Chandrasena was arrested a short while ago by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

The arrest was made in connection with the distribution of wheat seeds worth Rs 25 million to associates during the 2015 presidential election period.

He had appeared before the Commission earlier today (4) to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing corruption investigation.
