Sri Lanka Cricket says that Niroshan Dickwella has been cleared to play all forms of cricket with immediate effect.

In a statement, Sri Lanka Cricket said that following the decision of the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency (SLADA) to reduce Dickwella’s 3-year ban to 3 months.
The 3-year ban was imposed by SLADA on 13 August 2024, after a random anti-doping test carried out on the player revealed a banned substance in a test report.

However, the agency’s latest decision to reduce the period of his ban comes following an appeal by the player, supported by relevant evidence, that Dickwella has been found not to have consumed any banned substances during the “competition period”. The substance was not associated with “enhancement of sports performance”.

Sri Lanka Cricket said that as per this clearance, Niroshan Dickwella is eligible to participate in all the matches conducted by the cricket administration.
