Four-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Canal Near Rosita Estate

A four-year-old girl has tragically died after falling into a canal near a house in the Rosita Estate in Dimbula Pathana, police said. The incident was reported yesterday (26), and the victim was a resident of Kotagala.

Her body is currently placed at the morgue of the District Base Hospital in Dickoya. Dimbula Pathana Police are continuing investigations.

In a separate incident, a 38-year-old man from Medirigiriya drowned while bathing in a canal in the ‘Patthini Pedesa’ area of Polonnaruwa.

Further investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
