Aravinda Senarath Steps Down as COPA Chair

National People’s Power (NPP) MP Aravinda Senarath announced in Parliament today that he is stepping down from his position as Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA).

Senarath said the decision followed an agreement to allocate the post to a member of the opposition. He confirmed that he would continue to serve as a member of the committee and carry out his responsibilities
