The results of the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination were released last night (3), the Department of Examinations announced.

A student from the Galle District secured first place island-wide in the Sinhala medium, scoring 198 marks. Meanwhile, a student from the Jaffna District achieved the highest marks (194) in the Tamil medium.

Candidates can access their results through the department’s official website at www.doenets.lk.

This year’s Grade 5 Scholarship Examination was held on 10 August at 2,787 centres across the country, with 307,951 students sitting for the exam. According to the Commissioner General of Examinations, 901 students with special needs also sat for the exam, including 12 candidates who used Braille scripts.
