Man Killed in Meegoda Shooting While Driving with Family

A 32-year-old man was shot and killed at Nagahawatta, Meegoda, last night (14 December) while driving home with his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

According to the police, the incident occurred as the victim was returning to his residence from his brother’s house. An unidentified individual stopped the vehicle, and another person opened fire.

The victim, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to the Homagama Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The assailants remain unidentified, and Meegoda Police are continuing their investigations.
