The United National Party (UNP) has decided to continue working in collaboration with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and other opposition parties, in line with the consensus reached during previous discussions.

UNP Chairman Vajira Abeywardena stated that the party intends to establish a committee or a similar mechanism to coordinate and streamline joint efforts with the SJB and other opposition groups.

He further noted that the UNP has been engaged in continuous dialogue with the opposition parties regarding common issues and that the party has now resolved to implement the agreements reached during those discussions.

Accordingly, Abeywardena confirmed that the UNP has decided to work openly and collectively with the SJB moving forward.
