3.9-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Seas Off Trincomalee

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake was detected on Thursday (18) in the sea area off Trincomalee, the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) reported.

According to a bulletin from the GSMB’s Seismic Monitoring Centre, the tremor occurred at 4.06 p.m. about 60 kilometres northeast of Trincomalee.
