The Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s (SLFP) disciplinary committee has summoned MP Dayasiri Jayasekara over allegations of acting against party decisions, General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake said.

The SLFP has faced ongoing internal disputes since Jayasekara was removed as General Secretary by former party Chairman Maithripala Sirisena in September 2023. However, in July 2024, Jayasekara resumed duties, citing a court order blocking his expulsion.
