Police Constable Tharinda, who was granted bail in connection with the alleged assault of a lawyer inside the Mount Lavinia Court premises last Friday (10), received a warm reception from members of the public and civil society upon leaving court. Supporters had gathered outside the courthouse to show their backing for the officer as he regained his freedom.
