The Sri Lanka Navy has recovered a significant number of packages containing suspected narcotics found floating in the ocean off the country’s southern coast, officials confirmed.

The discovery has prompted an extensive and ongoing naval operation in the region to locate any further packages and investigate their origin.

Navy Spokesperson, Commander Buddhika Sampath, stated that the operation is in full swing. “Our units are actively engaged in the area following this discovery,” he said. “We are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.”
